May 2021 We are excited to announce that thanks to funding provided by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing through the Youth Week Program we will be implementing 'Charlton Means Youth' Art Project. This will be a roving art project that will capture the way that the youth in Charlton see themselves in the town.
May 2021 Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions, the official launch of the Charlton Integrated Community Transport Report, that funded by the Department of Transport was cancelled. We are very proud to present this report to our stakeholders, and community members on the Community Transport page of this website. We look forward to working with the many key partners in progressively implementing the recommendations for more equitable movement options for all Charlton residents.
May 2021 Thank you to funding support from Neighbourhood Houses Victoria, Museums Victoria and Royal Society of Victoria through the Climate Action and Environment Program , we will be taking Charlton residents to 'places they normally couldn't go'. This will all happen during Science Week 14th-22nd August.
May 2021 Thank you to the Dr. Anne Webster MP and the Federal Government Stronger Communities funding we will soon be able to offer eftpos facilities for our clients and users of the community car. We are also excited to announce that we will be able to offer this facility for community organisations and groups with one off events or to small micro businesses wanting to trial before purchasing their own.
April 2021 We are excited to announce that thanks to the funding support of Besen Family Foundation, Saluting their Service and a private donor that we will soon commence the tribute to General Sir John Monash on the Water Tower he designed in Currie Street in the 1913.
