The very popular Gentle Water Exercise sessions held by the Charlton Neighbourhood House returned for 2026 with a large group of eager participants.
Gentle water exercises improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen muscles, and enhance flexibility without stressing joints. The buoyancy reduces impact, making it ideal for seniors, rehabilitation, or injury recovery. Water resistance promotes balance and endurance, while the soothing environment lowers stress, aids circulation, and supports overall physical and mental well-being, fostering safe, effective movement. Instructor Rachael Smyth ensures that everyone feels involved and manages at a level that is comfortable for each individual.
