The Charlton Neighbourhood House has hit the ground running for 2025 with many successful activities already being hosted, and plenty more exciting programs coming soon.
It is first worth recognizing the success of one of their 2024 events which was successful in winning both the Charlton and Buloke Shire Event of the Year at the recent Australia Day ceremonies. With leadership by Bronwyn Fisher, The Blue Tree Project highlights to our community and visitors the message of mental health and suicide awareness. The support from the Shire, schools, health sector and broader community ensured the important project was a worthy winner. Popular programs have returned to the Charlton Pool such as Gentle Water Exercise and Early Morning Swimming while the Lino Cut workshop was a great success with many terrific artworks being produced. Upcoming art-themed workshops include watercolours, weaving, photography and recycled baskets. Regular activities such as Book Club, Storytime, Table for 12, Yarning Group, children's Jazz dance classes, Carers Group as well as support for the FLO Café all continue.
